Irony, Karma and Fate: three women whose primary existence is to instruct earth-bound souls through sharp-tongued wit and viciously creative interference. These women are scathing and relentless, birthed by Father Time and bound by the sins of human-kind. With their lyrical insight and banter, they cast a light upon the secrets of the world and interject with machination. Most importantly, they delve within the dark recesses of the human soul to unearth the unsightly, humiliating, and arcane elements that remain hidden from the average onlooker. Irony, Karma, and Fate Walk into a Bar is coupled with a collection of J.V. Stanley's poetry and prose including the updated version of "After a While", previously published as "The College Student Vs. The Soup Kitchen"; the fourth most emailed article on mycollegepal.com from April 2011 until December 2013. Author of novel ‘Faces In Still Waters’ and the collaborative collection of poetry ‘Fire and Water’; Stanley once again dazzles her audience with this thrilling lyrical tale. As this is a WIP spanning the past four years, publication date is to be determined. |
